Cluebox Camelot – Hints

This is a tutorial on opening The Trial of Camelot Cluebox.

Please, do not read this tutorial if you want to solve the Cluebox by yourself.

Begin with the top of the box. Here you should make 3 sliders come to the arrows.

To reach the goal, you should bring this slider (see the photo below) to the end by moving sliders up and down and rotating the wheel. At first, 3 target sliders will move away from the arrows, but they will get back.

Move the sliders as shown below. Then take out the lid.

At the bottom of the box you’ll see discs in the middle of towers. Set the discs as shown below to “connect” 2 of the towers with a line.

Extract the key from the other side.

Rotate the outer disc so its notch points to the lock symbol. Then you can take out this lid.

After you’ve opened the lid, you will see two sliders with depicted arrows that block some parts. You have to push the sliders in opposite directions simultaneously. Then turn over the box – the unlocked parts will fall down.

Go to the side with torches. Make sure the torches are moved down. Position the darker part correctly as shown in the photo. Put it into the space between the torches, then move it right.

Now place the light one in the correct position and move it left.

Move the torches up. Now you can release the key.

On the side with spiked balls set the runes on the gears as shown below.

Then take out the the key.

Go to the side with crowns. Set the sliders as shown below.

Rotate the disc with the crowns anti-clockwise and extract the key.

Take out the inner box.

There are two holes, you should blow into one of them to unlock the slider (the other one locks it). Hold the box vertically in front of your mouth as if it were a trumpet. Blow sharply into the right hole. You don’t have to touch it with your lips, small distance is enough. While blowing, DO NOT try to move the slider down.

Pull out the slider. You’ve reached the secret space.

Now follow the instructions on resetting the box.

Your adventure starts with the puzzle on top.

The sliders can move up and down. You can also rotate the wheel

To solve this part you should make 3 sliders come to the arrows by moving other sliders and rotating the wheel.

To reach the goal, you should bring this slider to the end (see the photo below). While doing this, 3 target sliders will move away from the arrows and then they will get back.

Here’s a full solution to this puzzle. After you’re done with it, take out the lid.

After you have solved the 1st puzzle you will see the image of towers. There is one more side of the box that depicts towers.

Look at the towers at the bottom of the box and pay attention to their differences.

Find the towers depicted on the top of the box taking into account the shape of their flag, window and door.

4 towers were damaged and their original shapes are unknown. 2 of them could have the necessary shapes. Try to connect these towers by rotating the discs.

Connect the towers by setting the discs as shown below.n

While the discs are in the correct position, extract the key from the other side of the box.

There is a lock sign near one of the towers.

Rotate the outer disc so that its notch points to the lock symbol. Then you can take out this lid.

After you have removed the lid from the towers puzzle, you will see movable sliders.

Notice the men are pulling the rope.

The men are showing where they pull the sliders.

To release the parts, you have to push the sliders in opposite directions simultaneously. Then turn over the box – the unlocked parts will fall down.

Look through the keyhole between the torches. It’s better to do this in a well-lit place. Make sure the sliders near the eye are in the correct position.

Note the eye sign shows a keyhole. Find the same keyhole on another side of the box.

When you see through the keyhole, you may distinguish the shapes of runes inside. They have the same positions as the spiked balls.

Note each spiked ball is connected to a gear via chain.

Set the runes on the gears as shown below.

Then take out the the key.

Look at the space underneath the towers puzzle (if you haven’t solved the towers yet, see Puzzle 2). There are blocked parts in the middle, you need to release them.

Pay attention to the arrows.

To release the parts, you have to push the sliders in opposite directions simultaneously. Then turn over the box – the unlocked parts will fall down.

The extracted parts are related to the side with torches.

The obtained parts can be put in the space between the torches. Pay attention to the picture above the torches.

The pictures show the correct position of the parts. The right picture belongs to the darker part, the left picture represents the light one.

Now put the parts inside while they are in the correct position. The torches should be moved down beforehand. Move the darker part to the right and the light one to the left.
Move the torches up and release the key while holding the right torch.

There are symbols on the side with crowns. The same symbols can be found on the broken wall on the other side of the box.

The darkish fragment can be extracted from the wall.

Some edges of the fragment match the edges of the wall.

The crowns also have symbols on them.

Note the sliders near the crowns can move up to 3 levels. Each slider connects the symbol on the crown to the symbol on one of the 3 levels. Use the fragment of the wall to find the correct pairs.

When the fragment fits the wall, you will see the correct combination in the holes. Set this combination on the crowns and find the other combinations.

Here are all positions of the fragment.

Set the sliders as shown below to connect the pairs.

Rotate the wheel with the crowns anti-clockwise and extract the key.

If you’re done with all the other puzzles, you can take out the inner box. Otherwise check the steps 1-4 above.

The slider on the box can move, but you should unlock it first. Pay attention to the note symbol which unlocks the slider.

If your container looks like this, also pay attention to the lines.

The same note symbol can be found on the image of the trumpet.

Note the container intentionally represents a wind instrument. What can you do with such instruments?

To unlock the slider, you should blow into one of two holes. Hold the box vertically in front of your lips as if it were a trumpet. Blow sharply into the right hole. You don’t have to touch it with your lips, a small distance is enough. While blowing, hold the sliding element upwards.

The parts of the sword should be somehow put together

The order is shown on the extracted slider. The parts of the sword have the same symbols.

If you put together the sword correctly, you will get the link: galath.net

Put the sword parts into the small container and insert the slider so that you can see the arrows. Then, move the sliding element all the way up and position the container vertically in front of your lips. Blow sharply into the left hole.
Remember to check the slider is blocked!

Insert the container into the box.

Make sure the sliders on the side with crowns are in the correct position and the wheel is turned anti-clockwise.

Insert the small key with 2 legs into the disc and rotate the wheel clockwise. Randomize the sliders to lock the wheel.

Move the torches up and insert the key while holding the right torch.

Move the torches down and extract the parts with stars by moving them back to the center. Tip: it’s easier to do this with another key.

Insert the parts one by one into the space between the sliders while pushing the sliders. Warning! It’s important to keep the correct position of the parts. Please, refer to the photo below.

Make sure the gears have correct rune values. Insert the large key. Then set random runes to lock the key.

Insert the darkish part of the wall all the way down, as shown in the photo.

Place the disc at the bottom side of the box so that the notch points to the lock. Then set the discs as shown below.

Put together the key and insert it. Then rotate the discs to lock the key.

Put the last part on the top of the box. Move the sliders to the initial position.
